Hunza Wall Down Light GU10 is a high quality 240 volt outdoor wall light by New Zealand's Hunza with a fixed non-adjustable spot light. Available in marine grade 316L stainless steel, solid natural copper or aluminium powder coated in a choice of Black or Bronze (dark brown) UV-stable polyester Eco-matt colours – see the finishes swatch image. Use it for downlighting house and garden walls, doorways, fences, pillars and pergolas. Alternatively, install it upside down to uplight architectural features. We love New Zealand's Hunza lighting, and we're not alone. Many garden designers and landscape professionals will specify nothing else. There are lots of reasons why. Hunza's form-is-function design aesthetic means its lights never date. The range includes a lighting solution for almost every outdoor location. Is the Hunza Wall Down Light GU10 adjustable?

No. It is a fixed, non-adjustable outdoor wall light. The beam points in a set direction (downward when mounted normally). You can also mount it upside down to uplight architectural features.

What is the Hunza Wall Down Light GU10 used for?

It is designed for fixed downlighting of house and garden walls, doorways, fences, pillars and pergolas. Mounted upside down it can also be used for uplighting architectural details.

Does this outdoor wall light need a transformer?

No. It is a 240 V mains fitting that takes a standard GU10 lamp and wires directly to the mains. (The low-voltage PURE LED version requires a separate LED driver.)

What lamp do I need for the Hunza Wall Down Light GU10?

A GU10 LED lamp (not supplied). We recommend a good-quality LED such as the Philips CorePro LEDspot to maintain the IP66 rating and warranty. Beam angle and light output are determined by the lamp you choose.

Is this suitable for coastal or exposed locations?

Yes. It is IP66 rated and available in marine-grade 316L stainless steel or solid natural copper, both of which perform well in salt air and wet UK conditions. Powder-coat finishes are better suited to less exposed inland sites.

What’s the difference between this GU10 Wall Down Light and the PURE LED version?

This GU10 version runs on mains 240 V with no driver required and lets you change the lamp (and therefore the beam angle and colour temperature). The PURE LED version has an integral Cree LED and needs a low-voltage driver.

Can I use this for wall washing or grazing?

It provides a fixed beam, so it is best for consistent downlighting (or uplighting if inverted). For fully adjustable aiming and more flexible wall washing or grazing, see the Hunza Wall Spot instead.

How is the Hunza Wall Down Light mounted?

It surface-mounts to the wall with rear cable entry. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician. Use the supplied washers and seal the cable entry if there is any risk of water tracking down the cable.

What finishes are available and how do they age?

Marine-grade 316L stainless steel, solid natural copper (which develops a natural patina over time), or aluminium powder-coated in Eco-matt Black or Bronze. Copper and stainless carry a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty; powder-coat finishes carry 5 years.

Does it come with a lamp or accessories?

No lamp is supplied. Optional accessories (frosted lens, Glare Guard and anti-glare Hexagon Cell Louvre) are available separately and listed in Related Products.
