The Brand

We love New Zealand's Hunza lighting, and we're not alone. Many garden designers and landscape professionals will specify nothing else. There are lots of reasons why. Hunza's form-is-function design aesthetic means its lights never date. The range includes a lighting solution for almost every outdoor location. Hunza lights come in marine grade 316L stainless steel, solid natural copper and eight Eco-matt colours, and in low-voltage PURE LED or 230 volt GU10 versions. But perhaps above all it's the long-lasting reliability that comes with precision engineering, hand-assembly and the use of only the finest tried-and-tested materials and lighting technologies.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Hunza Wall Spot GU10 adjustable?
Yes. The head offers full 360° rotation and 0–90° elevation so you can aim the beam exactly where you need it — from near-horizontal across a wall or planting to pointing straight down.
Does this outdoor wall spot light need a transformer?
No. It is a 240 V mains fitting that takes a standard GU10 lamp and wires directly to the mains. (The low-voltage PURE LED version of the same fitting does require a separate LED driver.)
What lamp do I need for the Hunza Wall Spot GU10?
A GU10 LED lamp (not supplied). We recommend a good-quality LED such as the Philips CorePro LEDspot to maintain the IP66 rating and warranty. Beam angle and lumen output are determined by the lamp you choose — see our beam-angle guide for advice.
Is this suitable for coastal or exposed locations?
Yes. It is IP66 rated and available in marine-grade 316L stainless steel or solid natural copper, both of which perform well in salt air and wet UK conditions. Powder-coat finishes are better suited to less exposed inland sites.
What’s the difference between this GU10 Wall Spot and the PURE LED version?
This GU10 version runs on mains 240 V with no driver required and lets you change the lamp (and therefore the beam angle and colour temperature). The PURE LED version has an integral Cree LED, offers fixed beam-angle options (15°, 25°, 38° or 60°), and needs a low-voltage driver.
Can I use this for wall washing or grazing?
Yes. Because the head is fully adjustable you can set it for directional accent lighting on trees, sculptures or architectural details, or angle it closer to a wall for a grazing or washing effect. Beam width is controlled by the GU10 lamp you fit.
How is the Hunza Wall Spot mounted and is installation difficult?
It surface-mounts to the wall with rear cable entry. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician. Use the supplied washers and seal the cable entry if there is any risk of water tracking down the cable.
What finishes are available and how do they age?
Marine-grade 316L stainless steel, solid natural copper (which develops a natural patina over time), or aluminium powder-coated in Eco-matt Black or Bronze. Copper and stainless carry a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty; powder-coat finishes carry 5 years.
Does it come with a lamp or accessories?
No lamp is supplied. Optional accessories (frosted lens, Glare Guard and anti-glare Hexagon Cell Louvre) are available separately and listed in Related Products.
